"Thanks to Trey Blackburn's brilliant performance as Blue, the audience is led through many different feelings that range from amusement to being creeped out. He creates motion..." - INVASION, Cindy Pierre, Theatre is Easy, theasy.com

"...sweet and funny." - SWASHBUCKLING SAM AND THE TALE OF BLACKBEARD'S REVENGE, Scott Illingworth, Theatre is Easy, theasy.com

Trey Radu-Blackburn grew up in rural Central Iowa. His love for the fine arts was cultivated early on, singing in honor choirs in elementary school and playing in the school band during middle school. It was during high school, however, when his love for the theatre really began to blossom when he began performing in school plays and musicals and being embraced by his local community theatre.

When Trey graduated from high school, he decided to stay true to his Midwestern roots and went to Morningside College in Sioux City. There he had the pleasure of working on several productions, both onstage and off, and singing and touring around the country and China with the College Choir.

His dreams, aspirations, and Midwestern work ethic eventually brought him to The New School for Drama in New York City where he studied with wonderful professionals from the New York Theatre scene including Ron Leibman, Cotter Smith, and Kathryn Rossetter. Since receiving his Master of the Fine Arts from The New School for Drama, Trey has worked around the festival circuit and several productions with independent theaters.
